Blazers Take Down Bulldogs In NECC Play

Chicopee, Mass.- The Elms College Women's Basketball team picked a good time to have one of their most complete performances of the year, beating Dean College 60 – 54 at Picknelly Arena

It was a closely contested game right up to the final buzzer, but the Blazers stood tall and picked up a crucial conference win and will take this momentum into the final games of the season.

Dean College (10-13) came out for the second half ready to play and outscored the Blazers 23-13 in the third quarter. However it wasn't enough to get the job done as the Blazers continued to make big plays to secure the win.

Two double- double performances were huge in the game.  Niah Pantry's 12 points, 16 rebounds and Angelica Peguero-Flores's 10 points, 15 rebounds led the way for the Blazers. Samantha Lynes hit two big three pointers down the stretch and finished with 10 points.

The Bulldogs were able to stay in the game with a big performance from Makayla Rudder who finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Linda Pina pitched in with 9 points and 7 rebounds off the bench
