Katie Condon
Katie Condon - Elms College junior women's basketball
player Katie Condon (Sandy Hook, Conn.) was chosen
as this week's female student athlete spotlight.
Condon, an English and education major, is entering her third season as a member of the women's basketball program.
In 2009-10, Condon was ranked third on the squad in scoring (221 points), averaging 7.9 points in 28 games played last season. Condon hauled in 121 rebounds, recorded 43 assists and notched 27 steals in 653 minutes played. Three times during the 2009-10 season Condon was the Blazers' leading scorer and leading rebounder, including highs of 15 points and 11 boards. She is also currently listed on the program's all-time top 10 three-point attempts list.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
Beating the number one seed (as the four seed) to make it to the NECC Championship last season.
Who has been your biggest influence outside of sports and why:
My grandfather. He always loves to watch me play basketball and
taught me the value of humility on and off the court.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why:
I haven't been there yet, but Italy. I can't wait until I am walking through Tuscany!
