WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AT CASTLETON STATE, 68-45 

CASTLETON, VT, Feb. 17, 2007 - Elms College sophomore forward Paige Schneider (Windsor, CT) tallied a team-high 13 points, but Castleton State saw four players reach double figures as the Badgers pulled away to a 68-45 victory in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball game at Glenbrook Gymnasium.

With the loss, Elms College concludes their season 7-18 overall, 5-13 NAC, while Castleton State finishes their regular season 18-7 overall, 14-4 NAC.

Castleton senior forward Jenn Goff (Granville, NY) netted a game-high 15 points on 5-7 shooting for the Badgers who built a 37-17 halftime lead and did not look back.

Castleton sophomore guard Jess Banks (Milford, CT) added 13 points, while senior guard Carley Amedore (Schenectady, NY) and sophomore forward Melissa Verill (Hiram, ME) notched 12 points and 11 points respectively in the win.

The Blazers received seven points apiece from senior forward Martha Arment (Lee, MA) and freshman forward Annie Dunnack (Mansfield Center, CT) in the loss.
