SOFTBALL FALLS TO BETHEL UNIVERSITY, 9-0

FORT MYERS, FL., Mar. 21, 2007 - Elms College freshman pitcher Alyssa Skewes (Ellington, CT) struckout two batters in 5 innings, but Bethel University freshman pitcher Nea Harkness (Winthrop, MN) pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Royals to a 9-0 victory in Wednesday's non-conference softball game at the Gene Cusic Classic.

With the loss, Elms College falls to 0-4 overall, while Bethel improves to 6-1-1 overall.

Bethel junior catcher Molly Trombley (Stacy, MN) finished 2 for 3 at the plate with five-RBI in the winning effort for the Royals.

The Blazers conclude Gene Cusic Classic play Wednesday, March 21, when they play Worcester State.
