MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MIT, 3-1

CAMBRIDGE, MA, Jan. 24, 2008 - Elms College sophomore setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) handed out 51 assists, but No. 8 MIT posted a 3-1 (32-30, 29-31, 30-25, 30-19) win over the Blazers in Thursday night's North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division men's volleyball match at Cambridge.

Elms College fell to 0-2 overall, 0-1 NECVA New England. MIT, ranked eighth nationally in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (NECVA) Top 15 Poll, improved to 2-2, 2-1 NECVA New England.

Freshman outside hitters Alberto Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) and Carlos DeLeon-Gomez (Carolina, Puerto Rico) combined for 41 kills in the loss.

Elms College hosts Newbury and New Paltz on Saturday, January 26. The first match is set for 11:00 a.m. at the Maguire Center.
