MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS LESLEY, 3-0
CHICOPEE, MA, Feb. 10, 2007 - Elms College senior outside hitters Byron Bledsoe (Lake Forest, CA) and Brian Cunniff (Pittsfield, MA) knocked down a match-high 12 kills apiece to help lead the Blazers to a 3-0 (30-20, 30-14, 30-18) in Saturday night's non-conference men's volleyball match at the Maguire Center.
Elms College, which defeated also Lesley 3-0 back on January 20, improved to 3-6 overall, Lesley remained winless at 0-7 overall.
Freshman setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) handed out a match-high 24 assists, while senior middle hitter Anthony Cesaro (Kingston, RI) and freshman outside hitter Mike Ryan (Ludlow, MA) registered eight kills apiece in the victory.
Freshman middle hitter Imad Elkatrib (Beruit, Lebanon) blasted down a match-high 12 kills and sophomore setter Clayton Janer (Guilford, CT) added 16 assists in the losing effort.
Elms College returns to non-conference play at Mount Ida College on Wednesday, February 14. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
