WITH 3-0 SWEEP AT SOUTHERN VERMONT
BENNINGTON, VT, March 29, 2007 - Elms College senior outside hitter Byron Bledsoe (Lake Forest, CA) knocked down 15 kills and freshman setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) added eight kills and a match-high 10 aces to help the Blazers cruise to a convincing 3-0 (30-16, 30-15, 30-17) win over Southern Vermont College in Thursday night's non-conference men's volleyball match at Bennington, Vermont.
With the victory, Elms College recorded its first 10-win season in the program's five-year history as it finished the 2007 season 10-13 overall.
Senior outside hitter Matt Zybert (Shrewsbury,
MA), sophomore outside hitter Tim Gordon (Methuen,
MA) and freshman outside hitter Mike Ryan (Ludlow,
MA) all added six kills apiece to pace the Blazers in
Thursday night's victory.
