MEN'S SWIMMING FALLS TO MOUNT ST. MARY 105-88

CHICOPEE, MA, Jan. 13, 2007 - Elms College senior Ted Manley (Monson, MA) earned three first place finishes, but Mount St. Mary also recorded three first place finishes from junior Matt Peters (Middletown, NY) to help lift the Blue Knights to a 105-88 victory Saturday afternoon's men's swimming meet at Partyka Natatorium.

With the loss, the Blazers fall to 0-3 overall while Mount St. Mary improves to 3-2 overall.

Manley earned victories in the 50-meter backstroke (33.57), the 50-meter freestyle (27.48) and 50-meter butterfly (31.28).

Freshman Mike Starke (Chicopee, MA) earned a first place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke recording a time of 1:22.30, while classmate Jason DiMauro (New Hartford, CT) earned a first place finish in the 800-meter freestyle with a time 9:42.05.

The Blazers return to action Tuesday, January 16 when they host UMass-Dartmouth. Meet time is set for 6:00 p.m. at Partyka Natatorium.
