MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS MAINE MARITIME, 1-0

CASTINE, ME, Oct. 21, 2007 - Elms College sophomore midfielder Ben Masse (Chicopee, MA) scored what would stand as the game winning goal eight minutes into the contest to help the Blazers down Maine Maritime 1-0 in Sunday's North Atlantic Conference men's soccer game at Maine Maritime.

Masse's second goal of the season came when he deflected in a cross stuck by sophomore forward Sean Moylan (Chicopee, MA) to give the Blazers a 1-0 lead.

Elms College junior goalkeeper Nick Pellegrini (Ludlow, MA) made two saves to preserve the Blazer victory.

With the victory Elms College finishes the regular season with a record of 5-10-1, 5-3 NAC. The loss drops Maine Maritime to a mark of 3-11-2, 0-7-1 NAC.
