MEN'S SOCCER SHUTOUT AT FRAMINGHAM STATE, 5-0

FRAMINGHAM, MA, Sept. 8, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Nick Pellegrini (Ludlow, MA) stopped eight shots, but Framingham State netted three first half goals and cruised to a 5-0 shutout win over the Blazers in Saturday's non-conference men's soccer game.

Elms College lost its season opener and fell to 0-1, while Framingham State evened its record at 1-1 overall.

The Rams struck in a span of 2:35 in the 26th and 28th minutes to jump out to a 2-0 lead before adding goals in the 44th, 58th and 72nd minutes.

Elms College returns to non-conference action on Monday, September 10 at Rivier College. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
