MEN'S SOCCER LOSES TO FITCHBURG STATE, 1-0

Box score

FITCHBURG, MA, Sep. 15, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Nick Pellegrini (Ludlow, MA) stopped 3 shots but could not stop Fitchburg State freshman midfielder Robby Pacini (Stoneham, MA) from netting the game winning goal to push the Falcons past the Blazers 1-0 in Saturday's non-conference men's soccer game at Fitchburg.

Pacini scored what would stand to be the game winning goal when he was assisted by freshman midfielder Joseph Daigle (Holyoke, MA) in the third minute of play.

With the win Fitchburg State improves to a mark of 2-2 on the season while the loss drops Elms College to a record of 0-4.

Elms College returns to non-conference action when the Blazers travel to Westfield State on Tuesday, September 18.
