MEN'S SOCCER HELD OFF BY HUSSON, 1-0

CHICOPEE, MA, Sept. 24, 2006 - Elms College sophomore goalkeeper Nick Pellegrini (Ludlow, MA) stopped 13 shots, but Husson College sophomore midfielder Nattapong Kongsuriya (Bangkok, Thailand) netted the game's only goal in the 61st minute to lead the visiting Eagles to a 1-0 win over the Blazers in Sunday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's soccer game at Leary Field.

Husson won its fourth straight game to improve to 6-1-1 overall and moved atop the NAC standings at 2-0. Elms College fell to 2-4 overall, 1-2 NAC.

Junior goalkeeper Jon Cowie (Madawaska, ME) finished with seven saves to earn the shutout for Husson, which outshot Elms College 25-17.

The Blazers return to non-conference play at Eastern Connecticut State University on Wednesday, September 27. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
