MEN'S SOCCER OUTLASTS HUSSON, 2-1

BANGOR, ME, Oct. 28, 2006 - Elms College freshman forward Sean Moylan (Chicopee, MA) netted the game-winning goal with four minutes remaining in the second overtime to lift the No. 7 Blazers to a 2-1 victory over No. 2 Husson College in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's soccer tournament quarterfinal at Bangor, Maine. 

With the win the Blazers improve to 7-9-1 overall and now advance to Tuesday's NAC Tournament semifinal at No. 3 Maine-Farmington. Husson fell to 12-4-3 overall and is eliminated from the tournament.

Elms College sophomore forward Jack Paulo II (Chicopee, MA) netted his first goal of the season in the 25th minute on a pass from Moylan.

Husson was able to tie the game at 1-1 in the 82nd minute on a goal from sophomore midfielder Nattapong Kongsuriya (Bangkok, Thailand). Sophomore defender Jeffrey Truchon (Greene, ME) tallied the assist.

Elms College and Husson battled into the second overtime period before Moylan registered his sixth goal of the season with four minutes remaining.

Elms College sophomore goalkeeper Phil Joyce (Ashland, NH) turned aside seven shots to earn his fourth win of the year.
