PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Elms College junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) carded a low round of 73 to lead all golfers on Saturday afternoon and finished third overall as the Blazers placed fourth out of 14 teams at the Rhode Island College Invitational.
Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) fired a two-day score of 151 (76, 75; +7) and earned medalist honors to lead Middlebury College to a first-place finish. At the end of Saturday's events, Donahoe stood in a tie with Middlebury senior William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.), who led the field after the first day of competition. Donahoe edged out his teammate Prince in the tiebreaker to take home medalist honors.
Fall stormed from behind and posted a 73 on the second day of competition to lead all golfers on Saturday and totaled a two-day score of 152 and finished third overall. Elms' senior Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) carded a round of 81 and sophomore Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) registered a second round of 87 as the two golfers finished with total scores of 167 and 169 respectively.
