Tournament Championship, NCAA Division III Championship berth, and
20-win season.
Prior to joining Elms College, Coach Silva served as an assistant coach for six years at Eastern Connecticut State University, where he helped guide the team to the 2000 Little East Conference title and the NCAA Division III regional tournament. He had also served for one year as an assistant coach at Hesser College in New Hampshire.
Coach Silva played basketball at Hesser College for two years, where he earned NJCAA All-Region XXI honors. After transferring to Eastern Connecticut State University, he was recognized as a Met-Life Scholar Athlete and chosen for the New England Basketball Coaches' Association senior all-star game during his senior year. Coach Silva also earned All-Little East Conference (LEC) honors that year.
