GONZALEZ NAMED NAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

CHICOPEE, MA. Feb. 25, 2008 - The North Atlantic Conference has released the weekly men's basketball honors for the week of Feb. 25, 2008 and freshman guard Dan Gonzalez (East Windsor, CT) has been named rookie of the week.

Gonzalez recorded a collegiate career-high 23 points on just 8 of 11 shooting to help the Blazers extend their win streak to 10 straight games with a 101-62 conference victory at Wheelock on Saturday.

Gonzalez tallied his team-high 23 points by converting 5 of 8 shots from 3-point range in just 18 minutes played.

The men's basketball team returns to action when the Blazers host the Univeristy of Maine-Farmington in the quarterfinal round of the NAC Championship on Tuesday, Feb. 26.  Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
