  NAC ANNOUNCES ALL-CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL AWARDS

CHICOPEE, MA, Feb. 28, 2008 - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced its 2007-08 All-Conference men's basketball teams and Elms College had three players named.

Sophomore guard Juan Galdon (Holyoke, MA) earned first-team honors for a season in which he averaged 19.6 points per game by shooting over 50% from the field.  Galdon ranked second among the conference's most accurate three-point shooters (.459).

Senior forward Nate Hawes (New Hope, MN) earned second-team accolades for a season in which he averaged 8.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.  Like Galdon, Hawes was one of the conferences most accurate shooters, ranking sixth overall in field goal percentage (.523).

Junior guard Aswad Thomas (Hartford, CT) led the conference in steals (3.6) and was selected as a honorable mention.  Thomas also ranked first overall in assist/turnover ratio (1.51).  In 25 games played Thomas amassed 145 assists, finishing second in assists per game (5.80).
