MEN'S BASKETBALL CRUISES PAST BECKER, 88-69

LEICESTER, MA, Feb. 8, 2007 - Elms College senior guard Justin Davis (Huntington, NY) netted a team-high 28 points off the bench en route to helping the Blazers cruise to an 88-69 victory over Becker College in Thursday night's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball game at Leicester.

With the victory, Elms College has won seven straight, and 11 of their last 12 to improve to 15-6 overall, 10-1 NAC. Becker College falls to 2-19 overall, and 1-11 NAC.

Becker sophomore guard Shawn Fuller (New Haven, CT) registered a game-high 32 points, and junior center Emmanuel Masumbuko (Burlington, VT) contributed 16 points in the loss.

Davis connected on 6 of 10 from behind the arc in just 14 minutes of playing time as the Blazers contributed 49 points off the bench.

Senior guard John Ancrum (Harlem, NY) netted 15 points, while sophomore forward Malakie Berry (Enfield, CT) added 10 for the Blazers.

The Blazers return to conference play on Saturday, February 10, when they host Lasell College. Tip-off is 1:00 p.m.
