Dan Costello – Elms College freshman golfer Dan Costello (Brookfield, Conn.) was selected as this week’s male student athlete spotlight.

Costello is an accounting major that chose Elms College because it is a small school where students can get individual attention.

"My favorite icon outside of sports is Bill Gates because I am really into today's technology and without him we wouldn't be as advanced as we are now."

The one place in the World that Costello wants to travel to is the Grand Canyon.

Costello, who began his collegiate golf career in the fall of 2009, has been off to a fast start in the spring of 2010, helping the Blazers capture their first team victory since April 25, 2008. Costello shot a 75 on day two of the Hampton Inn Classic hosted by UMass-Dartmouth to help pace Elms to a first place finish out of 19 teams. Costello earned third place individual honors in a field of 93 golfers following his rounds of 78 and 75 (153) during the two-day event which took place on April 10-11.
