Nichols posted a 309 to outdistance Rhode Island College (320), Wentworth (332) and Elms College (344). Daigneault tallied seven birdies on the day, including three straight on the par-4 11^th, par-3 12^th and par-5 13^th. Freshman Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, MA) shot 88 (43-45) as the only other Elms College player to break 90 on the 6,522-yard, par-72 layout. The Blazers return to action when they host the Blazer Invitational on Tuesday, October 2 at Chicopee Country Club.
