The Blazers won their second straight game and improved to 3-7, 2-2 NECC. Bay Path lost their eighth straight and fell 0-4, 0-4 NECC. Perks quickly opened the scoring for the Blazers in just the 6th minute off an assist by senior defender Ellen Silva (Palmer, MA), then added her second goal of the game four minutes later to put the Blazers up 2-0. Junior forward Danielle Boyer (South Hadley, MA) netted her second goal of the season off a centering pass from Christine Fleury (South Hadley, MA) extending the Blazers' advantage to 3-0 in the 27^th minute. Perks scored her seventh goal of the season in the 49^th minute on a breakaway giving the Blazers a 4-0 lead. Senior forward Sarah Lapolice (West Springfield, MA) added an unassisted goal in the 67^th minute to conclude the scoring. Bay Path sophomore goalkeeper Kim Amirault (Saugus, MA) finished with nine saves in the losing effort. The Blazers return to action when it hosts Lasell in a non-conference game Wednesday, October 8. Game time at Leary Field is 7:00 p.m.
