FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT MOUNT HOLYOKE, 16-1

SOUTH HADLEY, MA, Sept. 29, 2008 - Mount Holyoke freshman forward Shara Roberson (KwaZulu Natal, South Africa) and senior midfielder Anne Doton (Woodstock, VT) combined for seven goals and three assists to lead the host Lyons to a 16-1 win over Elms College in Monday's non-conference field hockey game at South Hadley.

Junior defender Danielle Gero (Holyoke, MA) netted her first collegiate goal in the 31st minute for the Blazers, who trailed 6-1 at intermission.

Elms College fell to 1-7 overall while Mount Holyoke won its fifth straight and improved to 5-1.

The Blazers return to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play when they host Wheelock on Wednesday, October 1. Game time at Leary Field is 3:30 p.m.
