FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT BECKER, 3-0

LEICESTER, MA, Sept. 20, 2008 - Elms College senior goalkeeper Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) stopped seven shots, but Becker netted three first half goals en route to a 3-0 shutout win over the Blazers in Saturday's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) field hockey game at Leicester.

Becker (3-2, 2-0 NECC) struck for goals in the 4th, 11th and 29th minutes to race out to a 3-0 lead at intermission.

The Blazers, who were outshot 12-5, lost their fifth straight and fell to 1-5, 0-2 NECC.

Elms College returns to non-conference play when it hosts Smith College on Wednesday, September 24. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
