Perks Named First-Ever NECC Field Hockey Player Of The Week

PERKS NAMED FIRST-EVER NECC FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ATTLEBORO, MA, Sept. 8, 2008 - Elms College sophomore midfielder Denise Perks (Blackstone, MA) was named the first-ever New England Collegiate Conference's (NECC) Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, September 8.

Perks, the Blazers' leading scorer as a freshman last season, netted the eventual game-winning goal in the 42nd minute of last Thursday night's 2-1 season-opening, come-from-behind victory over Regis.

Elms College returns to non-conference action with a game at Westfield State on Tuesday, September 9. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
