FIELD HOCKEY SHUTOUT AT MAINE-FARMINGTON, 9-0
FARMINGTON, ME, Oct. 6, 2007 - Elms College junior Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) and freshman Jillian Burrows (Pembroke, MA) combined to stop 15 shots, but the University of Maine-Farmington erupted for six second half goals to post a 9-0 shutout win over the Blazers in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey game at Prescott Field.
The Beavers ran their record to 5-3 overall, 3-1 in the NAC, while the Blazers slipped to 2-10, 1-4 NAC.
Elms College returns to conference play on Wednesday, October 10
at Lasell College. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
