FIELD HOCKEY DOWNS REGIS, 4-0

WESTON, MA, Sept. 13, 2007 - Elms College freshman midfielder Denise Perks (Blackstone, MA) scored her first two collegiate goals and junior goalkeeper Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) registered her first collegiate shutout to help the Blazers post a convincing 4-0 shutout win over Regis College in Thursday afternoon's non-conference field hockey game at Weston.

Wasgatt finished with four stops for the Blazers, who snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 3-1.

The Blazers return to action at the Seven Sisters Championship on Saturday, September 15-Sunday, September 16. Elms College faces host Mount Holyoke on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
