FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO MOUNT HOLYOKE AT SEVEN SISTERS CHAMPIONSHIP

SOUTH HADLEY, MA, Sept. 15, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) stopped 12 shots, but Mount Holyoke College netted three first half goals en route to a 5-0 non-conference field hockey win over the Blazers in the opening round of the Seven Sisters Championship at Mount Holyoke College.

With the loss, Elms College fell to 1-4 overall. Mount Holyoke evened its record at 1-1.

Sophomore forward Mary Kate Switchenko (Sturbridge, MA) scored three goals for the Lyons, including two in the game's opening 15 minutes.

The Blazers return to action at the Seven Sisters Championship on Sunday, September 16 against Wellesley College. Match time is 10:00 a.m.
