  WOMENS FIELD HOCKEY Falls To Lasell, 2-0

CHICOPEE, MA, Oct. 14, 2006 - Senior goalkeeper Colleen Strunk (Stoneham, MA) records her 400th career save in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey game at Leary Field.

Lasell College won the game 2-0 despite Strunk's landmark achievement. With the loss the Blazers fall to 1-11 overall, 1-6 NAC.

Freshman midfielder Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT) tallied the first goal on an assist from senior forward Amanda Wasowski (Pembroke, NH) in the 17th minute. 17 minutes later, senior forward Jackie Motyl (Chicopee, MA) scored her 13th goal of the season on a pass from sophomore forward Kristine Barry (Wilmington, MA) to finish the scoring for the Lasers.

Elms College returns to action Wednesday, October 18 against Anna Maria. The non-conference game is slated for 4:00 p.m.
