WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO UMASS-DARTMOUTH, 9-0
NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA, Sept. 6, 2006 - Elms College senior goalkeeper Colleen Strunk (Stoneham, MA) stopped 23 shots, but host UMass-Dartmouth tallied six first-half goals en route to a 9-0 win over the Blazers in Wednesday's non-conference field hockey season opener for both teams at Cressy Field.
Senior midfielder Robin Dziedzic (Palmer, MA) netted four goals for the Corsairs, who struck for four goals in the game's opening 14 minutes.
Elms College returns to non-conference play on Saturday, September 6 at the Vassar Invitational in Poughkeepsie, New York.
