FIELD HOCKEY SHUTOUT AT NICHOLS, 8-0

DUDLEY, MA, Oct. 25, 2006 - Elms College senior Colleen Strunk (Stoneham, MA) and sophomore Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) combined for 25 saves, but Nichols College used a six-goal second half to pull away to an 8-0 win over the Blazers in Wednesday night's non-conference field hockey game at Dudley.

With the loss, Elms College fell to 1-13 overall. Nichols improved to 6-11 overall.

The Blazers open up North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament play at top-seeded University of Maine-Farmington on Saturday, October 28. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
