WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO MIT, 7-0
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, Sept. 10, 2006 - Elms College senior Colleen Strunk (Stoneham, MA) and sophomore Katelyn Wasgatt (Worcester, MA) stopped a combined 26 shots, but MIT posted a 7-0 win over the Blazers in the consolation game of the Betty Richey Field Hockey Tournament at Vassar College.
With the loss, the Blazers fell to 0-3 overall. Sophomore defender Ellen Silva (Palmer, MA) and sophomore forward Felicia Avery (Sharon, MA) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Elms College returns to non-conference play at Mount Holyoke
College on Tuesday, September 12. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
