BASKETBALL TEAMS TO ?THINK PINK? ON FEBRUARY 3

CHICOPEE, MA, Jan. 24, 2007 ? As part of the Women?s Basketball Coaches Association?s (WBCA) efforts to raise breast cancer awareness, both the Elms College men and women?s basketball teams will promote a ?Think Pink? day during their upcoming games against Johnson State College on Saturday, February 3 at the Maguire Center.

Everyone in attendance that day is asked to wear pink and donate a minimum of $1 for breast cancer research. All proceeds collected will be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (http://www.komen.org) has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs.

Working through a network of U.S. and international affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure?, the Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.

Tip-off for the men?s game is 1:00 p.m. with the women?s game to follow at 3:00 p.m.
