BLEDSOE AND ANDUJAR NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-NECVA NEW ENGLAND DIVISION

CHICOPEE, MA, April 5, 2007 - Elms College senior outside hitter Byron Bledsoe (Lake Forest, CA) and freshman setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) were recently named First Team All-North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division.

Bledsoe and Andujar become the first players in team-history to earn First Team NECVA honors.

Bledsoe ranked in the top 10 nationally in NCAA Division III for kills and finished with a season total of 385 (an average of 4.58 per game) and ranked nationally in the top 10 in points with a season total of 431.

In addition to earning First Team All-NECVA New England Division honors, Bledsoe finished as the program's second all-time leader in kills with 566 (including a program-record 3.70 per game), is the second all-time leader with 720 assists, is first all-time with 67 aces, second all-time in digs (403), is third all-time with 112 total blocks, and second-all-time with 722 points, including a program-record 4.72 per game.

Andujar, meanwhile, ranked in the top 20 nationally for aces (43) and also ranked among the top 20 nationally in assists, as he established a program-record 838 assists in 2007.
