Office of Sports Information

Elms College's Office of Sports Information promotes and publicizes each of the college's 16 intercollegiate sports teams. The primary responsibility of our sports information director, Justin Mokerzecki, is to disseminate information to members of the media, as well as institutions that Elms College competes against.

Sports Information provides:

  • press/media relations
  • editorial releases and feature stories
  • game and special event programs
  • newsletters
  • statistical maintenance and archive record keeping
  • web-content management
  • collaborative work with Elms College's Office of Institutional Marketing.

Justin Mokerzecki became Elms College's first full-time sports information director in 2002.

Prior to joining Elms College, Justin served Springfield College's marketing department as a website consultant and also assisted the sports communications department in coordinating athletic archive research during the 2001-2002 academic year.

From 1998-2000, he worked as a sports writer, and later sports editor for the Westfield (MA) Evening News, and has also worked as a freelance sports writer for the Springfield Republican. In 1998, he completed an internship in public relations for Baystate Health Systems.

Justin earned a bachelor's degree from Springfield College in 1999, where he majored in English with a concentration in journalism and a minor in history.
